Generative Collages, 2007, procedurally programmed digital images

I explored chance based processes while working on a digital photo project in 2007. These collages were made using the digital imaging tool NodeBox. They were mashed up and layered by querying a database of images. All of the images were twisted, mirrored or rotated. The text layer was created by looking for words indirectly related to the query within the WordNet library. Some of the results were quite serendipitous. Below are some of my favorite results.
